Babiekins Magazine

A Trendsetting Magazine & Online Community For The Trendsetting Child + Parent

In Summer

Written by Allyson Hillary – @allysonhillary

We all know how Frozen’s Olaf feels about summer. And right about now, he’s busy doing what snowmen do…melting! Just like we are. And for mor reasons than the heat. We’ve got the kiddos on constant rotation, which means moonlighting as both Camp and Mess Hall Directors, everyone working from home, and no clear end in sight. At least not for those of us going back to school virtually (which, in California is pretty much everyone).

It seems we could all use a moment to cool off. The Babiekins team has your proverbial tall glass of refreshing water in Glitterville Studio’s online craft class. They’ve teamed up with the folks of Broadway’s Frozen to bring the icy breeze from the Great White Way to your backyard by way of a craft kit.

Join Emmy award winning host Michelle Park and the celebrated craft master behind Glitterville Studios, (and some of Oprah’s favorite things) Stephen Brown, for an hour long guided crafting session that will give your kiddos the royal treatment. Kids can choose to create either an Elsa tiara or an Olaf crown, which will be mailed prior to the live class. Kits are $75 and include a link to the event, which will be recorded for your convenience. Join live on Saturday, August 29th at 11am, or sign on to the link at your leisure.

Either way, it is sure to provide some much needed respite, both for you, the kiddos and the community writ large as a portion of proceeds from every kit will go towards Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and their COVID-19 crisis care. Your participation in the class will provide meals, health care and emergency assistance to those in need across the country. And what’s cooler than being kind AND keeping the kiddos occupied simultaneously?! It’s an event worth melting for.

Follow along for more excitement

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
