OMG! I am i the mists of making tutus for my daughter’s ballet school’s upcoming Sleeping Beauty performance! I actually made a turquoise one, but wouldn’t mind two turquoise fairies! My daughter goes to a great little ballet school in Boston where twice a year they put on a short peformance where all the kids participate, usually a few dad’s are roped in to dressing in drag, mom’s do the make-up, hair and help embellish costumes. I am making approximately 15 tutus from scratch. For this performance the teacher wants a more pancake style tutu and most of her costume stash doesn’t fit the bill. It’s a lot of work, but a ton of fun! It’s dangerous when I go into the fabric store just to by a few yards of tulle and leave with all these beautiful sequin embellishments! the kids do 3 free performances open to the public. The boys have as much fun getting there make-up done as the girls and we go through gallons of hair-gel. It’s really a wonderful experience for all involved.

Oh this is gorgeous! My daughter would LOVE to wear this at her birthday party next month! She looks amazing in that color and is all about sparkles and tutus!

but wait I thought it does run bigger – AE! still not “big” enough (read old) for me. I’m loving 77kids as well! Both for boys & girls. I just got my daughter a pair of pink skinny jeans there – she’s been dying for a pair (I waited to long before ordering from the Gap – shame on me) needless to say we’re a matching pair now – me in my Gap and her in 77 – kinda scary – she’s only 5 does that make it better or worse that we’re dressing alike…..
