The Ultimate Baby Boy Style Guide
curated by Gina Munsey
Are you looking for the best baby boy outfit ideas which don’t involve construction vehicles? I’m so excited to share this amazing resource with you — my curated selection of brands leading the way in infant boy style trends — clothing, nursery linen, and toys, too. With an eye toward current colorways (you’ll see a lot of ochre, indigo, and gray), tasteful neutrals, and an overall unisex vibe, this ultimate designer baby guide is the it-list of what’s hottest in the kids’ style world.
[First, a disclosure of material connection, and a note about partnerships. Babiekins reached out to a select list of favorite brands in preparation for this feature, and received compensation and complimentary product in exchange for press. We researched and chose these brands based on trend awareness, style, availability, and uniqueness in the marketplace, before coordinating a feature with the brands. We were not required to feature specific products or brands, and were not required to write positive reviews. All opinions are our own.]
As the Senior Editor of kids’ fashion magazine Babiekins, a lot of trends cross my desk. I’ve combed through and selected my very favorite baby boy clothing, toy, and nursery linen selections from across the globe – the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, and more.
These are my favorite designer baby brands for stylish baby boys…
You’ll find a selection of hipster baby styles, Montessori-inspired wooden toys, nautical and botanical nursery linens, organic baby clothes, trend-setting (not trend-chasing) baby outfits, urban-styled looks, and a sprinkling of timeless classic baby pieces, too.
What you won’t find? A single excavator appliqué anywhere.

Here we go!
1. Eden and Zoe | USA | Merino Wool and Cashmere Baby Goods
You’ve no doubt seen Eden & Zoe’s trademark two-tone dresses, but did you ever peek at their charming little Merino wool and cashmere unisex baby goods? We’re smitten! Be sure to check out Eden & Zoe’s cashmere baby blankets, too — they’re heavenly.
2. Aster & Oak | Australia | Organic Cotton Baby Clothes
Aster & Oak stands out for not only for using 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, but also for their commitment to natural-based dyes. According to Aster & Oak, “cotton covers 2.5% of the world’s cultivated land, yet it uses 16%-25% of the world’s insecticides” — what a compelling reason to go organic! Our top A&O pick? Any of the all-over nature prints, like the Chameleon Zip Romper.
3. Andy Pandy | USA | Eco-Friendly Bamboo Diapers and Organic Skin Care
There’s no getting around the reality of diapers. Since you can’t make them go away, you can at least make a more eco-friendly choice, like Andy Pandy’s innovative bamboo-based disposable (and 86% biodegradable) diapers. Free from chlorine, phthalates, and even wheat and corn, Andy Pandy diapers are a super choice for sensitive skin. Plus, don’t miss Andy Pandy organic baby lotion, and organic baby shampoo and body wash!
4. Olivia Shoppe | USA | Designer Baby Retailer
Olivia Shoppe hand-picks a fresh and bright collection, curated from top childrenswear designers around the world. It’s a great destination for baby gifts, too — you can always find a sweet little plushie to coordinate with the baby outfit you choose!
5. Rookie Humans | USA | Crib Sheets and Kids Bedding
Tired of the same ol’ baby bedding patterns? We are, too! Rookie Humans brings a much-needed playfulness to the nursery linen (and big-kid linen!) space, and we’re here for it. The OKEO-TEX Underwater Love crib sheet gets our top vote, but honestly, it’s so hard to choose a favorite Rookie Humans bedding pattern.
6. Zilvi | Australia | Handmade Baby Milestones
Zilvi’s timber milestones and other handmade wooden treasures are just perfect for your teeny little ‘gram influencer. And everything in this delightful timberlicious shop is made to order on a sixty-acre Australian mountain farm — we love that!
7. Pop Ya Tot | Australia | Eco-friendly Swaddles and Baby Linen
Pop Ya Tot had us at koi muslin crib sheets, but don’t miss the crane, watercolor bamboo, and even tile-patterned swaddles. We’re all-in for the organic cotton, water-based ink prints — they manage to be both on-trend and perfectly off-beat — but Pop Ya Tot is originally known for dummy chains AKA pacifier holders, too!
8. Sleeping Baby | USA | Baby Sleep Sacks
With catchy names like Flying Squirrel and Zipadee-Zip, Sleeping Baby’s innovative sleeper designs — known as swaddle transition styles — aim to help exhausted parents get more sleep. (Who can argue with a goal like that?)
9. One We Like | Sweden | Organic Cotton Baby Clothes
Scandinavian brand One We Like has been around for more than half a decade already, and we can’t stop raving over them. The entire line of organic cotton kidswear is sustainable, stylish, and aesthetically-delightful. In fact, we like it so much we could easily fill a whole wardrobe with nothing but.
10. Le Edit | New Zealand | Sustainable Muslin Baby Clothes
Le Edit is the stuff seaside dreams are made of — pure textured muslin and merino knits in the most perfect shades of indigo, ochre, coconut and more. Ethical and organic fabrics mean these garments are as sustainable as they are beautiful. (We are a little bit crazy about the ochre relaxed pants, by the way.)
11. Starry Knight Design | USA | Handmade Leather Baby Moccasins
It’s hard to browse the Starry Knight Design website and not add all the moccs to your cart. I mean, seriously. These are next-level leather baby shoes, with selections including brights, loafers, two-tone designs, t-straps, and even hard-sole and sandal options. Handmade in Montana, USA.
12. Paper Cape Co | USA | Modern Classic Baby Clothes
So many baby and kids’ clothes aren’t designed for the long term — sometimes, they’re worn out before they’re even outgrown! Paper Cape set out to change all that, crafting heirloom-quality garments in sleek, modern styles (and super-soft Pima cotton). Nothing stuffy or traditional about these looks!
13. My Sleepy Panda | USA | Stylish Diaper Bag Backpacks
We’ve come a long way from the puffy pastel diaper bags of the 1980s, haven’t we? My Sleepy Panda’s coated canvas diaper bag backpacks are designed with the modern mama (and papa!) in mind, with cooler-insulated pockets, a plethora of additional wet and dry zipper bags for organization, and even a USB charging hub.
14. Little Skye | USA | Trendy Urban Baby Retailer
Little Skye curates the most poppin‘ outfits, seriously. This is one retail shop where we just want to snap up everything: you haven’t seen a baby collection like this before. If casual urban is your go-to look for baby — or you’re just looking for something different than all the same-same-same in big-box stores, shop Little Skye!
15. Noobie Box | USA | Baby Gift Boxes
So many baby shower gifts are designed for the first few newborn weeks, but Noobie Box knows babyhood extends a lot longer than that. Noobie Year of Wonders gift box package — available all-at-once or as a quarterly subscription — celebrates baby all year long, with toys, books, clothes, and more! And mamas and papas aren’t excluded, either; explore the Noobie Parent Gift Boxes, too.
16. Wild Honey Apparel | USA | Minimalist Baby Shirts
Refreshingly simple monochromatic bodysuits and tees from Wild Honey Apparel offer a minimalist oasis in an often-over-the-top industry. With pithy sayings like “be kind” and “forest child”, Wild Honey tops appeal to the child in all of us, longing for simplicity.
17. Pure Simple Chic | Estonia | Merino Wool Baby Blankets
I am crazy about Pure Simple Chic’s Italian merino wool blankets! No, these aren’t itchy; they are incredibly soft, knitted in Estonia in extremely on-trend yet classic colors (grey, ecru, mustard, and pearl). And since they don’t look like stereotypical baby items, Pure Simple Chic’s blankets are a welcome addition to home decor, too.
18. Olen Organic | USA | Unisex Organic Cotton Baby Clothes
Nickel-free snaps, water-based dyes, Scandinavian-inspired designs, and all-organic cotton earns Olen Organic two thumbs up from us. And unisex patterns means you never have to be frustrated by lack of choices or options. You won’t believe how soft these garments are!
19. Orcas Lucille | USA | Stylish Baby Basics
Orcas Lucille’s founder and designer Emma absolutely nails colorways and trends. I’m obsessed with ochre and emerald for #thenewestbabiekins, and Orcas Lucille hits all the high points. Don’t miss the butterscotch romper!
20. Lovevery | USA | Heirloom-quality Baby Toys
Junky plastic toys often seem like an inevitable scourge of childhood, but playthings don’t have to be unsightly! We’re big believers in toys beautiful enough to coordinate with your decor, and Lovevery delivers a play experience that’s both aesthetically-pleasing for you and fun for your baby. Lovevery’s gorgeous, Montessori-inspired, wooden toys are bundled into curated play kits, carefully selected for you based on the age and developmental stage of your little one.

22. Cozys | USA | Soft Jersey Knit Baby Clothes
From starting out with jersey knit blankets, to now offering an entire line of comfy cozy clothes, Cozys offers on-trend patterns, like cacti, lemons, and florals with stripes. (Although, we’ll be honest — we’re especially partial to the cacti.)
23. June & January | USA | Bright Basics for Babies and Kids
June & January‘s recognizable bright basics are so happy — we’re big fans of their clothing for school-aged kids. And the June & January baby line does not disappoint, with buttery-soft baby blankets and matching knotted baby hats in just the right colors.
24. Feltman Brothers | USA | Classic Baby Clothes
Think Feltman Brothers, and you think classic babywear, equally at home in a royal family portrait, or at a christening in the southern US. But did you know this time-tested brand, founded in 1916, also has a fantastic range of knitwear? We love it!
25. Babyletto | USA & Taiwan & Australia | Modern Cribs and Baby Furniture
If you’re tired of seeing the same crib and nursery furniture options at every single store, you’ll be delighted with Babyletto. Sleek and eco-friendly, Babyletto cribs will easily become the focal point of your nursery with their modern, yet tastefully restrained, silhouettes. (We’re big fans of the Gelato 4-in-1. In fact, watch this space for a minimalist small-space nursery corner reveal!)
26. Winter Water Factory | USA | Organic Cotton Prints
Winter Water Factory’s backstory captured my heart, since I, too, spent my childhood in Europe. (Only my brother and I sold clothespins in our imaginary shop — founder Stefanie and her sister sold winter water!) These days, Winter Water Factory uses all organic cotton and keeps everything local, working with garment facilities near their headquarters in Brooklyn.
27. Trendy Bubs | USA | Hipster Boutique Baby Clothes
Boys’ pants don’t have to include cargo pockets (say it louder for the people in the back.) Cross-country friends and mamas Karla and Emily of Trendy Bubs collaborate on these trendy millennial baby styles, from tacos to Americana. Use code BABIEKINS for 20% off your purchase!
28. Gathre | USA | Vegan Leather Baby Mats
Kids make messes. And kids’ play mats, changing pads and bibs are often garish, clashing with decor. But Gathre mats are different — vegan leather accessories in an array of attractive shades, all designed to coordinate with your home. In fact, you’ll probably want to steal a few Gathre goods for yourself: don’t miss the home, yoga, and outdoor collections.
29. DockATot | USA & Sweden | Baby Loungers
If you ask a mama what baby products she most recommends, inevitably she’ll respond, “DockATot!” New on the market since I last had a baby 8 years ago, these innovative baby loungers are OKEO-TEK certified, and designed to mimic the comforting environment of the womb. Great for tummy time, too!
30. Fabelab | Denmark | Scandinavian Children’s Interiors and Clothing
Fabelab is a Scandinavian dream of covet-worthy colors and textures. This Copenhagen design shop is the perfect way to bring the seaside and the storybook forest into your kid-friendly interior (and wardrobe!) with perfectly chosen hues of ochre and spruce, fog and beachgrass.
31. Tumbibi | Canada | Children’s Lifestyle Retailer
The curation at Tumbibi is utterly stellar. 33. Moss and Fawn | USA | Silicone Baby Teethers
Forget the clunky mesh teethers from the big-box stores — Moss & Fawn’s new silicone teethers are gentle on baby’s gums and teeth, and come with interchangeable nipples, perfectly designed to hold frozen food for baby. And we’re crazy about the on-trend foliage and dew colorways, too!
34. Millie & Roo | USA | Infant Knot Gowns
Millie & Roo’s knot gowns exemplify the perfectly sweet delirium of brand-new baby bliss. We’re smitten with uber-cozy and oh-so-soft styles like the black ice sweater rib knot gown, and the teeny-tiny baby cardigans. (Don’t worry — Millie & Roo’s range of sizes have big sis and bro covered, too.)
35. Bonne Mère | Australia | Luxury Baby Textiles
Bonne Mère has heirloom baby textiles mastered, serving up a satisfying range of quilted bedding, linens and bags in delicate shades of chalk, mist, dove-grey, and dotted blue Santorini. Don’t miss the luxuriously layered quilted towel (pictured above, left).

40. Goumi | USA | Bamboo & Cotton Babywear
Goumi has the best collaborations, truly. At the time of this article, we’re crushing on the Kate Pugsley collection — but at any moment, Goumi wows with natural bamboo, organic cotton, and super-sweet, ultra-modern prints. Don’t miss their precious preemie styles, too.
41. Bitte | USA | Modern Sustainable Baby Goods
As a family with Sacramento roots, we can’t help giving a big NorCal shout-out to Bitte! This delightful retailer — with a downtown Sacto showroom! — has one of the most perfectly-curated selections of baby accessories, toys, and home goods we’ve ever seen.

43. Peridot Kids | Canada | Modern Organic Baby and Kidswear
It’s safe to say we’re completely smitten with (relatively) new-kid-on-the-block Peridot Kids. These small-batch, slow fashion styles are intentionally designed with forgiving silhouettes, so kids can keep on wearing them through multiple growth spurts (sizes start at 12M). Delightful patterns, buttery-soft fabric, and dreamy colorways.

46. Peapod & Nate | USA | Modern Crib Sheets and Moses Basket Linens
When you have a collection of Peapod & Nate linens in your home, even your laundry pile will spark joy. We’re swooning over these unpredictable patterns, like floral-studded — but monochromatic — forest creatures, desert blooms, and black and white whales.
47. Maybell Studio | USA | Trendy Baby Basics
Honestly, Maybell is a personal favorite. Not only are the colorways always exactly on target — but this LA design studio always manages to know exactly what fabric choices are ideal for each cut of garment, too. Mix and match from their stellar collection of solids, and you’ll hit outfit gold every time.
48. Petit Confection | USA | Chic Childrenswear
